If you see a black Golf V6 . . .

Contact the police. 01327 300300. Some idiot stole it early in the morning. It was seen being driven down the A5 towards Towcester later that morning and still had the distinctive S1X AH plate which means the thief was either really stupid or had some nerve.

So Christmas may be a bit confused - not in a mood to write anything else at the moment.

Liverpool

It's a long way from The Village but the Grande Plaza is a nice place to sleep. Trying to find somewhere to eat in the evening in pouring rain was amazingly difficult if you don't know where you're going. I guess there are restaurants there somewhere but all my colleague and I could find was an expensive italian bistro-like place with a very odd menu.

Getting out of the city also proved trickier than I'd expected but I got it right second time round.

Quite confused

Russell's back from Amsterdam and I'm trying to decide whether to buy him the Volvo. It's a sort of dark red colour and the tyres are excellent. Well, they would be - it belongs to Robert and Robert knows a lot about tyres. It's also very clean. Robert's a chaffeur now and likes the uniform and his new car means the old one's got to go. But he hasn't got a great deal of work yet so he spends quite a bit of time cleaning both. I think he expects about £2500 but I'll offer him a grand and see what happens.
